Chalkfest is an annual short film competition for young filmmakers in the City of Onkaparinga. The competition is put on by Default Productions in partnership with Mission Australia and the Media Resource Centre and is funded by the City of Onkaparinga.
All entries received by the entry deadline of Febuary 9th 2009 will be shortlisted for the awards ceremony which will be held in Willunga, Friday March 27.
The finalists will be screened alongside some of the South Australian Short Screen Award competition finalists at the awards ceremony and judged by a panel of guest industry speakers who will present 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. We are honoured to have Dario Russo and David Ashby, creators of the cult hit series Italian Spiderman, as guest presenters.
The screening will begin at 8pm on Friday March 27th and will be held at
Red Poles Cafe, McMurtrie Rd, McLaren Vale
Tickets will be available for $10 per person at the Red Poles Cafe and the Volt Youth Enterprise Centre, Aldinga Shopping Centre as of February 1st. Children aged 10 and under enter free of charge.
Meals will be available from 5:30pm but after 8pm the venue will become a dry zone.
